Courtesy of capricious weather, melted hellish snow and a resurrected sun, New York has vibrated into spring. I cannot tell you how many times I've landed ankle up in a mud slushie. Being the solution-based woman I am, I figured I should invest in a rain boot. During, my quest for a useful, yet stylish rain boot I found there are very few size 11s and up---are we really surprised? That's the name of the shoe game. Thus, I have included a rain boot shopping guide for women sizes 10 and up. A few selections are on sale.
My first suggestion would be these cuties by Kamik. If you are in a bootie kind of mood--which I totally am-- then Kamik's short rain boots my be the perfect fit for you. In addition, they come in a plethora of colors like fire truck red, baby boy blue and canary yellow. I truly believe rain boots should be a pop of contrasting color instead of a complementary color. Even though I am a fan of monochromatic attire, lately I've been leading with a polychromatic foot. Plus, a contrasting rain boot will bring attention to your fab shoes.
Ralph Lauren
tends to get my soul, no kidding. I love the "happy" in this rain
bootie, like the pigmented pink color and the navy blue elastic gore.
The price is reasonable as well, $59.
