The Glass Slipper

I want one. *Crosses arms forcibly and pouts with protruding lower lip* Shoe designers have mocked up a modern-day Cinderella glass-slipper for it's modern-day Cinderella. Check out the glamorous gleaming slippers below.

I'd have to say my favorites are the Charlotte Olympia(first shoe on the left bottom step) and Jimmy Choo (third shoe from the left on the top step). Below I have included the original sketch and shoe. Which one do you like? Or shall I say, which shoe fits you?

I've been on the quest for my Cinderella moment, so I reached out to a few of the shoe houses and to my surprise they replied to my inquiry. Jimmy Choo and Charlotte Olympia responded. Jimmy Choo did not tell me whether or not the shoe comes in a size 42 or 43, but they did inform me of the cost $4,595 and they would be available in September with a presale deadline of April 20th. While Charlotte Olympia's If The Shoe Fits! goes for $1,895 but maxes out at a 39.5. *womp womp* The verdict is still out on the other designers. I'll be sure to update you with the latest once I get a response.

Oh and I can't forget Charlotte Olympia...

Shoecabulary: Clogs

Clog: The Oxford English Dictionary defines a clog as a "thick piece of wood", and later as a "wooden soled overshoe" and a "shoe with a thick wooden sole". Clogs are found in three main varieties: wooden upper, wooden soled and overshoes (see illustrations on the right for typical forms).

It took me some time to adjust to to the chunkiness of a clog, but they're comfortable, can be worn with your outfits from day to dinner and even out dancing. Clogs might be a girl's best friend after diamonds. I'm pushing it. Clogs are in a category all their own and since New York is warming up you might find me trotting in these around the city.

 A few clog brands make sizes 10s, 11s and a few 12s.

Try Dansko for your size.

Big Feet Women Have More Than Big Feet, They Have Big Mouths, Too!

I had had enough. The silence of it all was daunting and piercing. Women with size 9+  feet are exhaustive of the lack luster shoes available in their size. Therefore, I am here to voice it. So, listen up.

Shoe-cabulary: Smoking Slipper

Smoking Flat
Rarely does fashion have an evolution, but revolution is the name of the game. Shoes have been the same for many years, centuries, even. A smoking flat has been seen many times before.  Hell, you might even own several pair. You probably do because the term smoking flat is another way to say slipper. SAKS has a smoking slipper category for shoes. Here are some examples...

Andrew Kayla
See what I mean? It's just a slipper, a Hugh Hefner slipper.

Click Flash (Spotlight):Tom Ford

Not only is Tom Ford a freaking hunk but he creates the most beautiful clothing. The masses are raving about him, thanks to Jay Z's Tom Ford track on his latest album, "The Magna Carta: Holy Grail."  Take a look at his fall/winter boots-to-kill below.

Such a blast, right?! These boots were made for walking. I love the sequin embellishments of gusto green, flirty pink, and potent purples all relaxing on a dominant blue backdrop. This beauty has a cone-shaped heel and an open toe.
